Gary Oldman was initially rumored to be cast, but was replaced by Kevin Kline
Story
It follows Catherine Ravenscroft, a TV documentary journalist whose work has been built on exposing the transgressions of long-respected institutions.
In multiple episodes, Jonathon uses the same lens throughout the series, a medium telephoto
Such a lens would not be able to focus on close-ups like selfies with Sasha or in the bedroom with Catherine.
It could have easily been reduced to a banal two-hour film
The sex scenes, I would say, are far too explicit and strong for a TV series, sometimes even less is enough to understand what is happening.
I approached the series thinking of a thriller, which it has very little to do with, we are faced with a drama
I am not a bigot, on the contrary 😉, but I think that from a visual point of view sex should always be treated more lightly, we all know how it works 😂.
I still think a movie would have been more appropriate
The story is well told, the characters well developed and the acting absolutely outstanding, I also like the voiceover, it gives a “poetic” and “introspective” touch to the characters directly involved.
